Camping
Camping on Lake Texoma can be found all around the 580 miles of shoreline. The federal parks which are run by the United States Army Corps of Engineers account for most of the camp sites available. However, there is additional availability within each of the many marinas on Lake Texoma as well as the two state park run facilities in both Oklahoma and Texas.
Fishing Guides
Known as the “Striper Capital of the World”, Lake Texoma is home to a variety of species of fish, predominately Bass and Catfish. However, the Striped Bass, or “Striper” has become one of our most widely caught fish. This aggressive Bass species are fun to fish, and provide for some of the best eating around. Catfishing is also wildly popular and provides for an exciting experience and adventure. While it is possible to find a rewarding catch right from the shores of Lake Texoma, there are many fishing guides available that can help make your fishing experience more rewarding and enjoyable by touring the lake for the best catches on the water.

Casinos
The Texoma region boasts 4 casinos within the area, specifically in Oklahoma. Both the Chickasaw & Choctaw tribes offer gaming opportunities and some of the most fabulous resorts that rival the likes of Las Vegas. The resort casino concert venues attract some of the biggest names around. Additionally, the casino resorts offer activities for children so that both the young, and the young at heart, can enjoy a relaxing get away.
Hiking and Biking Trails
From the most experienced to the eager novice, the Texoma region offers miles of trails around the 580 miles of shoreline right on Lake Texoma. Be prepared to see wildlife in its most natural form while gaining physical activity that is more play than work.
Horse Trails
Horse lovers will delight in the US Army Corps of Engineers operated public equestrian trail, complete with campsites, on Lake Texoma. Bring your horse to the Platter Flats Campground to enjoy a scenic ride on the 40+ mile trail around the shores of Lake Texoma.

Lake Texoma offers miles of shoreline with some of the most beautiful sandy beaches perfect for every age. Each summer thousands of visitors flock to the beaches across Lake Texoma and since the lake is so large; you can find private spaces or more populated areas perfect for visiting. Having a boat enables visitors to enjoy our many sandy beach islands located in the heart of Lake Texoma or explore more reclusive sites around the shoreline not available by land. Boat rentals are available at most of the marinas or boat dealers throughout the Texoma region.

We encourage you to join the Lake Texoma Association to find out about all the events and support our nonprofit mission of protecting and preserving Lake Texoma as well as promotion of the Texoma region. This beautiful water resource, created in the 1940s is a staple for water resource and economic viability within the Texoma region. The LTA is working hard to make sure that Lake Texoma remains the economic engine for this region now and for generations well into the future.
